All you might have noticed that there is banner on site that says game will end on December 9. It was quite astonishing for me that such a big game that got a lot popular all of sudden is going to vanish. I never expected that game to last for so less time even though there was nothing much in but, still i feel there will be alot of people in it who would have loved to play game longer. Amazing, i think they should keep on running this game as it is, but i can understand cost of maintaining server and all that stuff would kill them. Anyways good work guys.

There are so many potential property tycoons getting ready to buy streets and start building.

The game is working just fine, but you may have to wait your turn (at least you don’t have to wait in jail).

Just wait a few minutes and try again.

I never expect game to die all of sudden,  were servers really so busy that they couldnt respond or was it another type of downtime for game? I really have no clue.

Well i am back after long time again, taking out some time of routine to blog about what i thought i miss more in game. Its been long and i have good streets and alot of rent everyday, but now i am stuck at place where i think there should be a way where people can put their streets up for sale or bid, so that they can get money for them and people like me can get new streets to fondle with them.

Really this game is reaching to point for me where i see it as not a long run game, just a kind of really cool game to start with. Intially had like 100% interest in this which just dropped off to 10% now. This is the right time, developers for the game need to find it to make it more intractive. I said this coz i noticed most of people i knew who played this game have stopped playing as they saw nothing new to keep them indulged into this game.

I would appreciate people comment on this so that i can find out how many people feel same. Or is it just me who have curious thought in my mind.

One of my colleague found a tool while serving that can be pretty cool to organize and compare buildings. Also it can filter and sort streets. It need “Greasemonkey” to work. Greasemonkey is an extension for Mozilla Firefox, an open source Web Browser.

While playing game today i had problem where game started to freeze. I tried to buy a street, after i clicked buy button, amount numbers in top left section got stuck in mid while they were rolling and hourglass started to roll. I waited for couple of minutes then finally clicked on “My Streets” button, it changed money numbers on top left to nornal but hour glass still kept rolling. I decided to leave it alone and see it resolves for few minutes. But it kept rolling and never stopped. Then i strated to play game as i would, i cliked almost all button, but hour glass never went away

While reading out some blogs i found a page where i saw this text in which some Monopoly City Streets cheater states how he was able to make alot money in game :

Step 1: Build up a good cash base. Account A: buy 2 mill road. Accounts B,C,D,E: offer 3 mill for them. Wash rinse repeat this cycle until you have enough cash to be level 2. Then you make unlimited offers. New account (F): buy 100k road. from account A, offer all cash (say about 6 mill or whatever the cutoff is). Rinse wash repeat until you have about 50 million.

Step 2: Build big. Find a good stretch of highway, costing about 30 mill. Start constructing little houses like mad.

PAYDAY… I made 350 mill on the first payday. Not too bad. Not done yet.

TRANSFER ALL MONEY AND ROADS TO NEW ACCOUNTS. YOU MUST HIDE YOUR RESOURCES FROM THE MASSES. YOU MUST DO THIS IMMEDIATLY AFTER PAYDAY.

Now you have new account with 350mill cash and no streets (put your highway on sep account to stay off leaderboards).

Buy a LONGER stretch of highway, say something consting at least 60 million. I bought a stretch of i-90 @ 60mill. now buy those 900k buildings and make tons of em.

PAYDAY

Made 15 billion on the second day. Again, hide resources on new accounts.

Buy a LONGER stretch of highway. I bought a 100Mill stretch of the alaska highway.
BUY TONS OF HUGE BUILDINGS. I built 1000 of those 3-30 million buildings. Yes it took all fucking day. Real work here. Not much sleep.

PAYDAY.

165 billion on day 3.

Now here is the hilarious part. I transfered all cash and the highway to a new account. When I logged in with that new account, i got paid AGAIN for the alaska highway on the same day. so 2 x 165 billion on day 3.

So there… thats the way you do it…. basically.

Also he says :

“The devs seem to have fixed the problem with creating new accounts to hide your resources.“

Still there are some glitches in Monopoly city street game. Its just weired but i tried to buy a building from list of building, i had enough credit on my account but when i tried to place building on my road it popped up with small message in bottom saying something like that “um… Our servers are down. We’re trying to find out if the building with them has been demolished. Best give us some time and come back a bit later”.

Next time i tried same building it worked fine. I got this error randomly couple of times.

Monopoly city streets is back now. After using it for couple of hours i figured out that now game is bit faster than earlier. Atleast i don’t have to wait for game for years to construct a building. I am pretty happy that this game is running pretty smooth now for me. I don’t know what other users have to say about it.

Well finally i discovered it that Monopoly City Streets game is again down for couple of hours. When you try to open webpage it says, “Maintenance”. Well they describe it saying, its down for applying few fixes to tackle with cheating . Pretty happy to see it but, what about slowness? Will they be looking into this too? I think at this moment they should emphasize more on slowness than on cheaters as slowness is causing people more irritation than cheaters. Hope when game comes back it has some improvements in performance too.

It has been few days since Monopoly City Streets game was reset to relove some issues. I thought slowness in game was one of them. But as days are passing on this game, game is turning to run more slower than ever. I have waiting on game for minutes to build a property and watch that hour glass to revolve like forever .

It was really frustrating when i had to wait for several minutes even to log in, more over it showed me some small message at bottom that said please try again to log in. Now i think will they be able to resolve this infinite slowness ever?

I hope this slowness goes away before it irritates me to extent where i decide to quit this game.
